Teenagers or even kids have more knowledge than some adults in regards to cars these days, especially if you hear them have a conversation in School, you will be amazed by how much they know about cars. They want to know about used cars whats in and what out for the near future. They told me knowing about these things from now on is very useful as they will be driving in the near future. I do not disagree with that because in the future they will be looking to buy cars when they pass their driving test and having this knowledge now can help them then.

 

My aunty’s kid who is doing his A-levels currently bought his first car when he was 14 and he is 18 now but still hasn’t passed his driving test. Interesting thing is he bought a car for £250 from eBay and his mother has been using the car since then. This is great investment in my part because the car is still running and he bought it 4 years ago. It is not just any car, it is a VW with a 2001 number plate, absolutely brilliant find. He certainly seems like a car lover and definitely did a lot of research before buying this car.

 

He told me he would love to start driving once he finishes his A-levels and then wants to go on doing research on Honda cars. He is a big fan of Honda as he has all this pictures and images in his room, which he admires. For his GCSE work experience he specifically asked the school to get him a place in Alfa Romeo cars garage based in West Midlands. There is definitely some dedication and determination to succeed about cars in this boy who started at 14.

 

I visited his school few weeks ago to find out his progression as my Uncle and Aunty couldn’t make it. Knowing how much he knows about cars was amazing as all the teachers were very impresses, they were saying he knows more than our combined knowledge in cars. He has also been advising his friends to make sure their parents do not make mistake in choosing a wrong car.

It has been announced here in the UK that smoking could soon be banned in the car but is this a good decision or something that is totally unnecessary?

 

The reason that the law may actually come into play is simply because 2 million children in the UK have to put up with smoking parents and the car is a very small place. Although they cannot stop people from smoking in their own homes the car is a more confined space and smoking with children or even adults in the car could cause them serious health problems.

 

There really is no need at all for a parent to be smoking anywhere near a child and it is pretty disgusting that so many parents do this as it just is not fair on the poor child. Breathing problems, ear infections, meningitis and even cot death have actually been put down to the parents smoking in the same area as a child.

 

300,000 visits a year is what doctors are dealing with because of parents are not thinking when they are smoking. Many people say that cars are their own private space and that a ban of smoking would not be right.

 

I understand this point completely and feel that as long as there are not any children or people in the car that don't mind you smoking then it should be fine. There are also a lot of people out there that think that people should not even be smoking in sight of any children. I really do understand this, after all, what parent really wants their child to grow up as a smoker.

 

Smoking in the car also causes distractions and if you total your car and don't have something likegap insurance you are going to find yourself looking at bad credit car loans and bad credit car finance.

As he slows down ever so slowly to make sure I don’t run him over he gives me a little wink with the knowledge that I appreciate his coolness.

How cool it would be to be on a bike. But my speed is more of an off road Yamaha ATV. Besides how would I fit all these kids on the back of my bike? Yes, I am a soccer mom and there is no way I could fit all my kid’s stuff on that bike.

Yet I am a rebel of my own sort, but I have a cause, to raise my kids in this beautiful cement jungle to a place of normalcy. It’s a challenge I have chosen to take and take very seriously. I have my own cool tattoos, but it came out of a cereal box and my kids put in on me upsidown.

My life is not for the squeamish. It takes a lot to do twenty loads of laundry a week and survive with soft skin. I drive on the open road and change lanes with skill to get my kids to guitar practice and dentist appointments. I am always ready with fruit snacks in my bag or an extra pony tail holder in assorted colors should an emergency arise.

Yes we are the proud, the many, the unafraid mothers of America who will go into battle over a parking spot or sit for hours to support a little league. We will put our own selves to the side to sell nuts at Christmas and love our children with all we have. We are a proud growing race that will live on to the next Mother’s day knowing we are important, respected and most likely have a stain on our shirts.

So pass me cool urban man, you couldn’t handle my life. It is paved with fears that you are not ready to face. Enjoy your single hood while you can, because your days are numbered as well until you are in the carpool lane with me too listening to PSP’s in your ear while you brave the urban jungle yet another day.

If you did a poll to people and asked what their dream car would be I can almost guarantee that it would be something very fast, very shiny and that would attract attention from the opposite sex. So where does all of this come from?

Games

Games such as Forza and GT are getting much more realistic as they get older and I cannot wait for the new GT to arrive. Even though I do in fact have all three of the recent generation console I would not part with the Xbox. People sit down and play these games and think “wow, I would love to have that car”. People do not only get to say just how good the car would look in reality (thanks to advancements in graphics) they also get a feel of the way the car would react on the road.

Childhood

Thinking back, I certainly remember the days where I used to play with those model cars as a kid, I remember always wanting an ultra cool Ferrari. The idea of getting a really cool car is almost imprinted into the mind at this stage of your life, is this a good thing. For people my age this is where all of the thoughts came from as a child, there was nothing with graphics decent enough to make you want the car.

Celebrities

Celebrities have a followers there is no doubt about that, many of these people will take notice of most of things they do in their lives and the cars they drive is certainly one of them. A person would be proud to say they have the same car as a famous celebrity.
Of course realistically this is not going to happen and people are struggling to get a car on something like bad credit car finance or bad credit car loans. Other options like gap insurance and car leasing are out there to help people who want that fast car.

This was Disney or i should say Pixar’s attempt at getting the younger audiences into cars and it really worked thats for sure. When Lightning McQueen falls off the back of a truck he is stuck in a dead in town and when he accidently wrecks the road he is made to stay behind and repave it all. McQueen was on his way to have a rematch for the piston cup and put his career forward.

Noddy

Noddy from Toyland has been in various feature films and believe it or not he originates from one of Enid Blyton’s books. He was carved by a woodsman but ran away after his creator was making a wooden lion which of course Noddy was scared of. Noddy then goes on to get lost in the woods where he meets his future best friend Big Ears. Big Ears meets Noddy and decides that he is a toy so takes him home to Toyland. Of course his car is his very famous red and yellow taxi and he helps the people of Toyland with this vehicle. When his business isn’t too busy he uses it to drive around visiting his best friends.

Transformers

This is the big one really has Michael Bay has turned this into a world wide success. The characters of the Transformers franchise did of course exist way before the two films were release, they date back to the 80s so it has been going a while.

One of the things that can be hard not to turn around for is if your child starts throwing up all over the place, then what are you going to do? Well the best thing to do is still to drive until you can pull over, never turn back to help them because that split second could turn into a terrible accident, yes the company car leasing will have puke in it but that’s that.

Although it has recently been announced that smaller cars are producing less toxins is it true to say that they are practical, I really do not think so?

Family

There are many cars out there that can fit a family of four in with ease but the ones that are cutting back on the stuff the world doesnt want are ven smaller so bare this in mind.

Shopping

I hope that you are not looking to get a lot of shopping and have any passengers with you if you have a tiny car because they are once again going to find it a bit difficult to get into the car. In our house the weekly shop feels up the car and we do not even purchase that much, one of our cars is small though!

Dog

If you have a poodle then you are going to be fine but anything like a golden retriever or German shepherd and you will find it very hard for them to feel comfortable in the car.

Look

Do the smaller cars really look as good as some of the bigger and faster cars, I really do not think so which has to be partly why you hardly see a male with a very small car. It could perhaps be something to do with the ego but I think it is mainly to do with fitting into the car. There are also many people out there that will not get a small car because sometimes it can make them look like a bit of an idiot.

Good Points
